TODAY – The Humanities Forum Hosts Patrick Breen on Rep. John Lewis

Today, September 25, from 3:00-4:00pm, the Humanities Forum will host historian Patrick Breen for a conversation on “March and the Legacy of John Lewis.” Dr. Breen is associate professor of history at Providence College and a scholar of American history, concentrating on African-American history, the American South, and slavery. Dr. Breen will lead a discussion of the life and legacy of the late Rep. John Lewis of Georgia, the youngest speaker at the 1963 March on Washington and a lifelong champion for civil and voting rights. Rep. Lewis died in July, 2020.
