Take exercise breaks

March 23, 2020

Exercise not only facilitates better physical health, but it’s also proven to help emotionally and mentally thanks to the release of endorphins. Try completing a quick at home circuit or walking around the the block for 10 minutes when you feel overwhelmed or tired to improve mood and focus.

Here is a link to a guided beginner workout with 3 different intensity options: https://youtu.be/e8opMY-SoZc

Here is a link to a higher intensity workout involving minimal equipment for those of you that may have a few items available at home: https://youtu.be/SExZg3yRpMA

(If you do not have a set of dumbbells at home, some other options are: canned goods, laundry detergent jugs, water bottles filled with sand,  plastic milk containers with handles filled with sand or water, or milk!)

If youtube is not your style, or you’d like a workout that can be done anywhere. Try this AMRAP workout! (AMRAP = As Many Rounds As Possible). Run through this list for as many rounds as you can within your desired time limit. (10-30 minutes!)
