Class of ’21, ’22 & ’23 – Apply to be a Summer Assistant in the Office of Admission!

March 23, 2020

Each summer, the Providence College Office of Admission welcomes hundreds of visitors onto our campus to learn more about what the college community has to offer its students.  Research has found that the single most important factor in a student’s decision to apply and ultimately enroll at an educational institution is the campus visit.  Therefore, it is our office’s philosophy that we should do everything we can to appropriately counsel a student so that they can find the infamous correct college “fit.”  In order to accommodate our prospective families’ inquiries, as well as best represent Providence College, our office hires a group of students as summer assistants each year to aid us in our efforts.

Primary responsibilities include conducting campus tours on a daily basis and discussing their Providence College experience at Group Information Sessions to 2,000+ visitors over the summer months.  Other responsibilities include such office duties as answering the telephone, greeting visitors, typing, filing, handling the mail, and assisting the Admission staff with projects as needed.  Applicants must possess a genuine enthusiasm for Providence College, a sincere desire to assist and interact with a wide variety of visitors, very strong public speaking skills, and a high level of energy.

If you are interested, please follow this link to the application and submit by Friday, April 3rd. If you have any questions regarding the application or the position in general free to contact any of the Summer Assistant Coordinators.
