Last Call for JLC!
February 12, 2019
Hello Students, Faculty, and Staff!
This is our last call for JLC workshop submissions! They are due Wednesday, February 13th.
We need you to help inspire the young minds of our potential future Friars! Junior Leadership Conference (JLC) is a day long conference hosted by the Outreach Committee of Student Congress and the Feinstein Institute for Public Service for high school juniors in Rhode Island. The conference will be on Saturday, March 30th.
We are looking for proposals of presentations and workshops for these students to engage in. The goal of JLC is to provide an opportunity for these high school juniors to engage with college students and faculty through presentations and workshops centered around leadership and the college experience. Topics of workshops can range from how to engage in self-care, creating a career path, or even a hobby/ topic you may be interested in having a discussion with high school students.
We ask that anyone that is interested complete this form no later than Wednesday, February 13th. The link to this Google form is below. The committee will review all submissions, and do all we can to honor and include all interested parties. We will then work with anyone who is selected to present on their workshops if needed. Sessions are expected to be 45 minutes. Thank you! If there are any further questions please email either Gretchen Petrie (email@example.com) or Stachel Roberts (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you are a person with a disability and require an assistive device, service, or other accommodation to participate, please contact the Central Reservations Coordinator (401-865-2070; Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) well in advance of this event.
