Our Haitian immersion to Miami continues. This morning, we got up early, packed our bags, and hustled off to the Missionaries of Charity for Mass at 7:00. Afterwards, our crew split up and washed windows, helped with Bible study, and prepared the midday meal. After that, we greeted about 250 guests and served them lunch.
With all the work done, we zipped back to the airport to climb on a flight to Haiti. To no one’s surprise, our flight is delayed. But we have Wendy’s and we’re sitting on the ground. What could be better?
Until now, no one has been complaining. But Brendan Kelly has had enough. People have been screwing up his orders, plane tickets, etc. The poor girl at Wendy’s took 10 minutes to make his Frosty. He’s about to get arrested by TSA.
We’re tired, but in great spirits. And who knows? We might see Haiti yet.
